Living Room & Parlor Decked Out

The most important piece in our home next to the tree...Hand made in Italy many, many years ago.
Part of our collection of santas in a bookcase under the TV. On the top shelve are handmade, woodland ones on both ends. In the middle, santa with a Canadian goose and an Irish Santa with lamb. Carolers and more santas underneath.
This vignette is in the corner f my living room.
I painted the santa plate many years ago.
This skater is lovely with sparkly cotton clothing.
Santa riding a polar bear...He's my favorite.

Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree

The tree is a vision of white this year. It is decorated with glass icicles & tear drops, crocheted snowflakes, crystal snowflake garland, ice crystal garland, white German candles, pearl bead garland, red berry clusters and red apples with family names. Bagged snow flakes were tossed on the tree for effect.

This tree is in the corner in the dining room. It is simply decorated with miniature angels, skaters, & carolers.
This is a dried flower tree covered with flowers dried from my garden: lydrangea, roses, sumac, hops & more set in an old trunk with a tray, santa and stocking.

Christmas Trees Past

This one is frosted with a light spraying of snow.
A closeup of the most important ornament.
Fine, gold tinsel from Germany coats this tree.
Vintage ornament dating back to 1945 adorn it.
Puffs of snow adorn this wintery tree.
Frosty gardland tops the minature village below.
Lots of red apples with names of all our family members highlight this tree. The one below has a woodland theme with pheasant feathers.
My trees have varied greatly in their decorations over the years. One of my favorites (which I do not have a picture of) was when my children were little. It was decorated with homeade cookies, candy canes, gold, foiled chocolates and popcorn garland. By the time Christmas arrived it was stripped bare up as far as my girls could reach.  Sure it looked funny on Christmas Day but it brings the most beautiful memories.

Holiday Table Scapes

This is a rustic, woodland setting with birch yule logs.
Set for a brunch with cardinal dishes and placemats.
A simple setting with santas and a white pictures with greens.
Cloche over santas, candle in the middle set on a vintage tablecloth.
A collection of milk glass bud vases filled with faux berries makes ready for dessert.
Placemats are pretty with a felt snowflake topped with a glass container filled with faux berries.
